Reporting Misconduct

Any concerns regarding the conduct of educational support employees, instructional personnel, or school administrators that may affect the health, safety, or welfare of a student must be reported immediately.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Inappropriate behavior or boundary violations
  • Neglect or unsafe supervision
  • Abuse or suspected abuse
  • Any conduct that compromises student safety

If the concern involves the School Director, reports may be made to the appropriate local authorities or the Florida Abuse Hotline.


Mandatory Reporting Requirement

All school personnel have a legal and ethical obligation to report suspected child abuse, neglect, or misconduct.

Failure to report suspected or known misconduct may result in:

  • Disciplinary action
  • Termination of employment
  • Reporting to appropriate state authorities

Protection for Reporting

Any individual who reports concerns in good faith is protected from retaliation under Florida law.
